Cracking End to a Fantastic Series

We all had a great time on the course tonight watching you all race for the final time with us this year and so did 150 of you, shame the sun wasn’t out and shining but it is Summer after all.

We would like to thank you all for the  support you have shown us and continue to show us year on year, it means a great deal to us and we hope you enjoy running it as much as we like to see you running up that big hill!  Dont forget you can always like us on Facebook to get the latest news or, join our #Woodland5 Mailing list (see below) for #Woodland5 email notifications straight to your preferred email client.

So onto the race report ……

Wowzers, someone in the Datchet Rashers must have been feeding the men’s team extra mars bars and weetabix (other breakfast cereals are available) with a top 1,2,3 for the Dashers in the Men’s event, great running lads.

So with just under one and a half minutes separating the finishing senior men, and a very tight under one minute for the senior women, here we have the results.

Congratulations to Alexander Miller from the Datchet Dashers for winning the Male Race and coming first overall in 29:48, a seasons best time for the course and Ellie Gosling from reading Road Runners   for winning the ladies race in 35:12, fantastic runs for both of you!

Rob Foster (Datchet Dashers) came in second overall for the Male’s with David Lee (Datchet Dashers) coming in third.  In the Ladies race, Jo Haley (no club) once again came in second (next year it will be yours Jo!) and in third place Becky Atkinson (Bracknell Forest Runners).  Well done to you all.
