Weekly Update 9 September

Here is this weeks News

The Long Slow One

Last weekend saw the annual long slow one (Will this name stick?) take place between Great Bedwyn and Thames Valley Park in Reading, 34.1 miles.

Some words from the chairman ….

“A big round of congratulations to everyone who completed the Long Slow One along the Kennet and Avon canal today. I’d especially like to say thanks for Rob and Rhodri for giving up half the run to drive the bus, and to Steve, Becky and Nathy for organising the day. See the website for more details and photos after Steve has recovered enough to type again :)”

Summer is ending and winter season is just beginning

This week is the last week of the Summer routes. As the light is fading,  Tuesday where we normally re-group by the gate, instead of running back over the railway bridge, we will run the other way via Tesco to run back. This is about a tenth of a mile longer.  On Thursday, you may want to bring a head torch along for the end of the Thursday run, as it will be getting dark by 8pm.
