Meet the team that represent the view of the club and their collective responsibilities
The committee is voted in at the AGM, however if you wish to get involved please let the chairman know and this will be bought up at the next monthly meeting. If you have any concerns or issues you wish to be raised please also direct these to one of the members of the committee who will raise it accordingly.
The Chairman – Paul Jenkins
“The person in charge!” Responsible for chairing all committee meetings, acting as the face of the club, provide the committee with leadership and advice and represent the club at FSC meetings
The Club Secretary – Paul MacKenzie
“The person who keeps everyone honest!” Responsible for giving notice of meetings to the club members and the committee, draw up minutes from meetings, responsible for the official communications on behalf of the Club, including affiliations.
Treasurer – Vicky Jenkins
“The one who looks after the money!” Full details of what the treasurer is responsible for are available in the constitution (there are a lot!)
Publicity – Stephen Wood
“The one who gets us noticed and, gets our name out there” Produces the club newsletter, Creates other promotional literature for the Club, Advertise’s the Club and its races, Ensures all publicity material is placed on the Club notice board
Membership – Mandy McDonough
“The one who makes new members feel wlecome” Want to be a member? This is the chap to speak to. Loads of responsibilities, check out the constitution for all of them
Race Secretary – Rob Harris
“The one who organises the races”. Organises the Club’s race the #Woodland5, Co-ordinates the Club Championship.
Kit – Vicki Taylor
“The Kit Man”. If you need club kit this is the chap to speak to.
Social – Lindsay Thackrah
The one who knows how we like to party. They are responsible for Organising social activities outside of the usual running nights. Examples of this are the annual awards dinner, the Christmas knees up and the obligatory pasta party.
Webmaster – David Jones
“The one in charge of the website and social media”. Ensures all data on the website is up to date, Makes sure the data held on the website is accurate, Places information on all club events onto the website.
Ordinary – Andy Clempson
“The runners voice”. No specific action other than keeping the committee honest and speaking for the voice of the non committee members of the club.
